FISSURE, Award-Winning Sci-Fi Thriller Begins Screening Tour

DALLAS, TX — (Marketwire) — 06/08/09 — After receiving more than 450 script submissions, Top Pup Media selected FISSURE to be its first feature film. The film premiered at the AFI Dallas International Film Festival in 2008. FISSURE won awards at the Redemptive Film Festival (Award Winner) and Hollywood First Glance Film Festival (Best Lead Performance). The national campaign of FISSURE is anchored by four key preview screenings with the DVD release on Aug. 11.

Detective Paul Grunning (James Macdonald) is trying to piece together his fractured life. When a routine disturbance at the Ulster House turns into an unexplainable death, all he has worked for will be tested.
Ultimately, Grunning must navigate a fractured reality and his own insecurities to find what’s real.
Cast
James Macdonald has been steadily working in film and TV roles since 1987. Often cast as law enforcement, Macdonald was ideal for the role of Detective Grunning in FISSURE. His film credits include HOME OF THE BRAVE, HOLLYWOOD HOMICIDE, and PHONE BOOTH.
Crystal Mantecon is a beautiful actress and model with several film roles including HAROLD AND KUMAR ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY and THE TREE OF LIFE as well as a recurring role on the Fox series PRISON BREAK.
Todd Haberkorn has developed a huge following for his voiceover work in numerous anime series including DARKER THAN BLACK, D. GRAY-MAN, and GHOST HUNT.
About the Filmmaker
Russ Pond spent more than sixteen years in corporate America before eventually pursuing his passion of being a filmmaker. Pond produced several award-winning, short-films that garnered success and accolades.
